The story behind the journal

I arrived in Australia in 2024 from Daman, India, to pursue a Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. What I didn't expect was how quickly this city and this industry would get under my skin.

Working in luxury hotel operations while studying full-time has given me a perspective on hospitality that I couldn't have learned in a classroom alone. The craft of great service, the gap between a good hotel and a genuinely great one, the quiet moments that guests carry home with them without quite knowing why , these are things you only understand from the inside.

This journal is where I write about all of it. Not the hotels themselves, but the profession. The philosophy of service. What it actually feels like, on both sides of the experience.

If you work in this industry or love staying in great hotels, I hope something here resonates with you.
